What it costs to hold the record.

Two ways in. A volume is a one-time purchase about a surname — paid once, opens in minutes, yours for good. The Register is a membership about your family, and it keeps growing.

The Heritage Volume

The three levels are built the same way and from the same sources. What changes is how much of the record each one carries.

The Family Register

A volume is about a surname. The Register is about your family — the branches you add, the surnames that married in, and everything we publish from here on.

The Register never touches a volume you already bought. What you paid for once stays yours whether you join, leave, or never join at all.

The part you can hold.

Everything above lives on a screen. These don’t. Each one is made to order from the same record you just read — shipping is already in the price.

Before you decide

Not for a volume. A volume is a one-time purchase: no renewal, no trial that turns into a charge, and no card kept on file. The Family Register is the only thing here that could ever recur, it is entirely separate, and it is not on sale yet.

Card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB and UnionPay — and the digital wallets your device offers, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not accept PayPal, Venmo, or buy-now-pay-later services. All prices are in US dollars.

Yes, and you pay only the difference. Write to us and we send you an upgrade link for the balance. You are never asked to buy the same volume twice.

Write to customer@myheritagestories.com within thirty days and we refund you in full — even if you already read the volume and downloaded the PDF. We answer within 48 hours.

By our own system, from public reference material — the U.S. Census Bureau surname file, digitised newspaper pages held by the Library of Congress, and open structured records. The same surname always produces the same volume, and no one researches your family. The whole method is set out on our How Your Report Is Made page.
